About me
My Picture: This is my third year coaching ski racing after 8 years of being a competitive participant in the sport. I truly enjoy sharing my knowledge and love for the sport with this group of eleven and twelve year olds.
Favorite Coffee: Really any coffee processed using the natural (dry) method. Arabian Mocha Sanani is always a treat when it cycles through and Ethiopia Sundried Yirgacheffe is my latest addiction.
I have grown up in a family accustomed to daily Starbucks stops. This made it easy to fall in love with my job when I became a barista in 2007 at the Redmond Ridge Starbucks. Shortly after my second year anniversary with the company I transferred, as a shift-supervisor, to the first Street Level concept store, 15th Avenue Coffee & Tea.
When I am not making or drinking coffee I am likely to be either coaching ski racing, coaching soccer, going to school at the University of Washington, pursuing a photography pastime or traveling around the world. I am interested in doing anything to stay involved in my community whether that be by volunteering my autumn months to a girls soccer team or doing my part in bettering the environment. I am a proud partner of the Starbucks Corporation and enjoy doing anything to further pursue my career with the company!
"To laugh often and much;
to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children;
to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends;
to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others;
to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition;
to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived.
This is to have succeeded.
